I am sending my huntsman to get a true choke thread cut. With a choke and TSS it should make a good 40+ yard turkey gun.

Sweet rig. Miss my 45. Will be waiting for pattern pics.

I got a call from them yesterday. Should be ready Friday which means I should have it next week.
I don't have the .45 but I have the .58, 28" 45-70 and .44 magnum in that series aside from the 12 gauge.

Wish I had had more sense when I had mine. I could not get a good load out of it, mostly because I was young and dumb. Did not ask the right people and finally sold it.

Those .45 Huntsman guns really liked round balls. Most of the guys I know that used them very much used a patched ball over 70grs FFG.

Well I finally got it back. They did a great job. Probably going to shoot it Saturday. I am hoping the POI is on the money. If not I will install sights on it.
-
I forgot to swab it with bore butter before shooting it. That evens out the pattern. It is certainly on the right track though.

This is an old thread but I’m getting ready to have an inline .50 Rem threaded so I’m gonna need to pick y’all’s brain on proper loading! So much for chasing the ammo game for me! :camohat:

Are you turning it into a smooth bore and having it threaded for a choke?

Nice pattern
Thanks. Birds going to die!
