Ok guys, What do yall think about this display? It is for my step-son. It has his first fan, beard and first buck in it. The doe was a pick up. Originally I was going to put galss over the fan/beard only and mount the skull seperatly.

that is a great way to display his first kills... I love it. First kills are truly cherished and i couldnt think of a better trophy case than yours. :icon_thumright:
Looks great!
Looks great Scott!
Scott..
I'd give it a quarter turn to the right when I hung it.. :TooFunny:
Seriously, it looks great. A wonderful idea. Without the glass, dust will be an issue. With the glass, keeping it clean will be an issue. I say leave it the way it is..Very nice, indeed. Mike
That is a fantastic display! :icon_thumright: :icon_thumright:
I'm sure your son will like it!
I love the first kill collection idea! :icon_thumright: :icon_thumright: :icon_thumright: :icon_thumright: If the doe isn't a first kill, I would take it out, though.
Looks GREAT!! I'm with stinkpickle, I would take the doe out.
Looks great. If your step-son found the skull then why not leave it in.
Thanks for the nice comments guys. I really appreciate it. I think that I will let Jake make the call on the doe. He is the one that has to look at it everyday, not me.
Scott
nice job, he will rember it and you forever
nice stuff, I always remember the hunt when i look at my first tail and beard
Well done Basser69! If he doesn't like it, I know a place in NH where you can send it ;D
Scott;
PRICELESS!! great display; thanks for sharing......God bless
Here's a suggestion that's tough for me to explain, but really easy to do. Take a manilla folder (with the 3 folds in the middle) and cut a half circle shape on one side of it right above the outside fold and a matching half circle on the other side above the bottom fold. Should give you a half circle on both halves, and about an inch gap in the middle that the fan can slide into. I cover that with brown felt with some elmers glue and let it dry. Then I take some bondo and apply to the fan on both sides to firm things up and hold everything in place. Gives you something to screw into too and hides the base of the tail.
Just an idea, and I can send you some pics if you PM me a phone to send them to.
