Went out last night for a few stands just to get out of the house and test a new handcall I have been developing over the last month. Was able to bring this guy in to the 150 yard mark and make short work of him.(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20200722/7e9a1c43ba623bb73d85753e7294b045.jpg)

Rick
Good job.
Kill them all.
I've only ever killed two coyotes. One was coming into a fall call, the other to a spring call. BUT, when it comes to the predator-prey relationship it doesn't really matter. It may make you feel as though you saved some turkeys...and that's fine...but not really. On a bell curve, as the prey increases, the predators increase proportionally with a slight lag of perhaps a year or two. NOW, re: the number of predators. Back when I was young there were a lot of trappers after fox, coons, skunks, possums and such...the egg eaters. No more. So...I guess what I'm getting around to is that if were ever to get back to the number of turkeys we had in the "hey-day" it would be the result of dry warm springs and some disease to kill off the various predators!!!
