Title: New Deer Dog
Post by: guesswho on June 14, 2020, 03:49:44 PM
Training my new deer dog.  For those of you who remember Bristol, she passed suddenly last December.  This is Fiona, she's 7 months old now and has potential.  Good thing it's not deer season or she would have killed them all. :TooFunny:

Is this for tracking purposes?

You better keep her away from those deer before they teach her to eat corn and acorns and talk her into running off with them.  ;D ;D

Just kidding.   She don't do much other than follow me around everywhere I go.

Ah okay, I know there are people with businesses that track deer after they have been shot/arrowed and the hunter can't find them so they use dogs and I thought that may be what you were doing.

How funny, we have an old dog names Bristol and my Pitbull is named Mrs Biggelsworth but my wife calls her Fiona

Can't believe those young bucks are ignoring her.  They must of been raised at the feeder around Bristol

They had a truce with Bristol.   Nobody messes with nobody at feeding time, and it grew from there.  I've seen Bristol chase them about 50 yards and then when she came walking back the deer would be right behind her.    Fiona seems to have made a deal as well.
