Title: Ol Covehunter is
Post by: savduck on May 16, 2011, 10:03:34 PM
Laying them out in the Rockies right now.  Those of you that are friends of his would probably like to know he is laying the smack down on them this week. Dont want to steal his thunder, just wish him continued luck. He is 4 days into his trip and has already put down his Colorado merriam and his Wyoming Merriam. Ive been pushing him to get after a Rio close by and get his single season slam done.  Im looking forward to seeing the pictures. He has sent me a couple teasers on my cell phone. Man to be young and single again...............

Be safe Friend. Wishing you continued luck.

Well, I had to get a room and internet service so that I could hopefully form another game plan. I've been looking for 3 hours now for some convincing info on Utah since that's a state I haven't hunted but the pickings are very slim. I've got a few calls to make in the morning then I'll make the decision. It has been fun checking off 2 new states in 3 days!

I don't know anything about Utah turkeys, but I know you could jump right across the border from WY on be on turkeys pretty quick in NE.  Maybe your just interested in new places, but if your just interested in more dead turkeys.

Oh yes, I've had great success in NE but I'm trying to get new states under my belt. So it's off to Utah, wish I had more time to research but ya don't know til ya go! Should be a pretty place to end it.

That would not have been good for the turkeys.
