Title: thanks to willowridge

First of all,  a big thank you to Scott for coming down and teaching me some tips on set up and calling.  Guys the calls are awesome.  The first bird came to one of his glass calls and the bird I should have shot came to the gibson call and his maple slate over wood soundboard.  I love that call and whoever gets it will be really pleased.  It has the sounds of a glass call.  We had heard the bird that came in behind us gobble about three times but thought he was farther up the hill where when you are in blind it muffles sounds when in realty he was probably 100 yards right behind us.  I was just peeking out window to see and there he was sneaking in at about 25 feet,  he saw me move my head and Scott got him to stop.  I had to get turned around and take a quick shot but I still choked.  Its the best excuse I have and went back to the 12 gauge where I am two for two.  I am buying another tag for this coming week and not giving up.  Thanks again Scott for the hunt.  Scoot

No problem Scott it was a ball working them gobbling birds, that's the most gobbling I've heard in years. That first bird gobbled at least a 100 times from when he came around the corner until he past us and never quit until we boogered him. Good luck next week, those birds are on fire over there and should be moving around a lot better looking for hens.
