Title: Compass 360 Rain Wear-----Or anything else?
Post by: Spurs on May 13, 2020, 12:13:23 PM
As many in the SE can attest, this season was a soaker.  I have been using Frogg Toggs for a while now, but this year I finally got my fill of the noise.  I understand that other rain wear will be noisy, but surely there is something better out there.

I have read some decent reviews of the Compass 360 stuff, but wanted other's opinions before jumping off.  A couple of my friends have some Kuiu stuff, but that camo pattern just ain't my cup of tea...does anyone seriously think that stuff blends in at all BTW  :help:

1.  Mossy Oak
2.  Reduced noise
3.  Light Weight (I typically wear over my vest and other cloths if weather allows)

Any suggestions or other options are appreciated.

I recently looked at some of that Compas rain wear in a store in Andalusa Alabama. I wish I would have bought it. Its the lightest rain wear I have ever seen. The material did look similar to Frogg Toggs but lighter. It was in bottom land camo. I really didn't try crinkling it to check for noisiness. I don't plan on going back through that area anytime soon so I tried to locate it on line. There are several different versions even in the compass 360 type. I can't quite figure out which is the version I saw in the store, but I really liked the stuff in the store. If I ever go back that way I'll buy it for sure.

I noticed the same thing too.  I found the stuff that I have seen in stores, but it was that aqua looking stuff that I guess is more tailored towards fishing.  I was leaning towards the "Gale Jacket" and the separate pants.  You can only find them in stock on Amazon...the website is out of everything just about.
