Title: Practice for Nebraska
Post by: hobbes on May 15, 2011, 10:35:17 PM
Boyd, my youngest at 8, hasn't taken his hunter safety yet here in CO, so he hasn't been able to hunt yet.  He can however hunt in NE provided he is with me at all times.  He is first up since the other two have been out, with Isaac already having three birds for the season.  Afternoons may be better suited for him and Olivia, so Isaac may still be the first to get out.

I took Boyd out to practice shooting some today.  He started off having trouble, but I finally convinced him that he had to hold the green dot on the target even after he pulls the trigger.

His last four shots were on the money.  Here are the last three that are from 15 yards out to 25 yards.  His last was at a Pepsi can at 25 and he shredded it.

Now, if I can just get a tom or jake to stand there for long enough, he should be taking a ride over our shoulder.

Adios, turkey.  Looks like killin' runs in the family.

Have fun out there Shane.
