Title: Shot a Hen
Post by: Solid Snake on May 15, 2011, 06:19:23 PM
...with my iPhone  ;)

Check out this video of this hen clucking and purring. In my second season I found it to be extremely helpful for my calling. She was doing this for a few minutes before I got my phone out too. I thought it was pretty cool. Enjoy!

The audio is really soft - I had to turn up my speakers and volume on my PC all the way up. It's better in fullscreen too.

That is a very effective call. I call it a purr-putt. In reality, it is probably a purr-cluck. It will bring in a hung up gobbler, more often than not..YMMV..Mike :you_rock:

Easy with a pot call a little harder with a mouth call. That to me is an aggressive cluck and purr. I hear that alot when the hens get near my decoy or if they spot me but just quite don't know what to think of the human brush.

I heard that a lot this year. A pot call like trkyhtr said will give you that sound the best. Dirty birds!
