Title: My "DIY" Fan/wing mount

Beautiful, I like it. How hard was it to do the wings? I've been thinking about trying it

A lot easier than I imagined. I left the bones in on this one. I got 2 more to do and a completely removed the wing bones on them.... So much easier!

Basically you clip them off at the "shoulder", go to the inner side of the wing and start to filet the skin/feathers from around the wing bones.
Youtube has some videos and www.taxidermy.net is an awesome informative forum.

Be sure to clean inside the wing "hands" area for the meat. If not it'll smell and collect bugs which could migrate to other things
