This morning we started on 1 farm and I called 3 hens in but the toms wasn't cooperating. We pulled out to go check another farm and Connor rode with dad. They stopped by the field and I could see a hen but nothing else. We went and parked and they said there was a tom there. I told them I believe you let's go haha. We had a pretty good idea where they was headed so we made a big circle and was easing up through a little patch of woods to set up. I was getting the decoys out and dad stops and motions for us to get down. I drag the decoys over to the side and set down. There was a tom and a hen doing exactly what we had expected. They fed down the hill about 70 yards from us but while we was watching those a bird gobbled back up the holler less than 100 yards away. When the 2 in the field went back across the ridge I slipped up to where they Connor and dad was setting and was talking about where to move to so I could try and call that bird that gobbled in. Dad starts moving up the hill so he could set to see that way better. He made it to the tree he wanted to set at and he says the 2 in the field are coming back this way. I get my video camera ready and When he raised his gun I brought the camera up and turned it on. The video is bad but at least i was able to get some recorded. He shoots and rolls him. He weighted 23 pound 5 ounces, had 11 in beard and 1 5/16 spurs. I told Connor your getting to be a pretty good guide. You have been putting people on more turkeys than Kroger haha. This made dad's 35 turkey and the 9th bird he killed with his 20ga 870 youth.
