Is it just me are is there a lot more hunting pressure this year due to the virus? I have hunted every day of season and have had a encounter with other hunters on public and private everyday .On the public it doesn't matter if you get there first or not I guess because I've had other hunters blow my hunts everyday walking in on me.

If it makes you feel any better I am sitting in my home in pennsylvania right now. Can't get a non resident license to hunt my ohio lease. Tagged out in maryland early last week and waiting on Saturdays pa opener.
Welcome to stay at home. If your state sells permits OTC it is getting hammered. If it allows NR it's really getting hammered. Weekend warriors are out every day of the week now.

All joking aside I might stay home so I don't end up getting shot. I've had hunters close in on me on multiple sits and locations. If I go to hunt a area and see a trucked parked, I move on. Some of these people are unreal in my area and have zero courtesy.

Indiana was terrible this weekend. I got a spot on public land off a lake I've hunted for 5 years and have never seen anyone. Wednesday ran into my first guy. It was a good experience, ended up being a good guy. Saturday morning was ridiculous. Owl hooters everywhere. I had 3 guys walk through my setup. 2 guys walked past me and onto private and I told them hey buddy that's private right there as I know they landowners too and they won't even let me hunt it or even walk through it. Both those guys said so.... just shook my head. I sat on a ridge top had a guy yelping next ridge over and a guy crow calling down in the river bottom. I said something to my buddy about it and he invited me to come hunt his private land with him. I tagged out later that afternoon and felt a lot safer lol. I hope next spring isn't so bad. But I'm headed to Ohio to meet up with my brother to hunt public land in a couple weeks. He said pressure has been heavier there as well. He lives near Columbus. Luckily I had bought my tag before they stopped selling NR
There is definitely a lot more people out this year in Ohio. So far I have been lucky, nobody has parked next to me or walked up on me. I'm sure it will happen though.

More people out in SoDak as well.
All forums from all States reporting the same. Lots more people out because so many out of work and have nothing better to do. Wife has family in n/e PA and thought about a quick trip up late in May. Will give it a pass this year.
BTW - I'm originally from OH and Ohio public has been a circus since the 1980s. Good luck.
