My youngest got his second of the season this morning . Had to work for them , was low clouds and wet this morning and very breezy. They worked to to the edge of a freshly mowed wheat field from a long ways away then wouldn't commit to the decoys . Stayed at 90 yards and gobbled a few times then eased back into some thinned pines. Gave them 20 minutes or so and repositioned making a big loop and got in the pines with them. They had started gobbling again on their own by the time we got set up and were only about 125 yards away and in their comfort zone due to wet woods and pine needles. Couple soft yelps and they came easing thru at 25 yards and Will did the rest . 18 lbs 10.5" beard with 1.25" spur with a big ole meat head. He was smooth as silk , my boys are growing up.
