28lb lone tom shot at 9:45. moved into an area we heard gobbling in the morning and had worked some birds the previous week. took about 3 minutes from first gobble heard until the trigger was pulled. bird came into the woods at the last second and i had to maneuver the gun over the tree we were against and lay down so he could twist far to his left and use my stomach to lean over and shoot 30 yards at the bird which had only just shown himself. he was pretty pumped and took off running "i got him! i got him!" kid worked so hard for this bird. hunted the youth season in a walking cast that he'd been in since november
