Title: Sweet Spot Gauge for TSS
Post by: va longbeard on April 21, 2020, 08:47:59 AM
What is everyone's opinion on the best gauge for TSS?

My vote 20 gauge it is not as picky as 410 and a lot more shot with low recoil and less cost per shell than 12 gauge.

I am getting over 300 in a 10 inch circle at 40 yards and I think anything more than that is extreme overkill.

I believe I will only use tss for 20 gauge or maybe someday a .410 if legalized here.I tried it in 12 gauge and I don't see it adding anything for me in that particular gauge.I am not a numbers guy or a long range bomber,I was just curious and wanted to test it,Im over it.

28ga gives you about as light a repeater as .410 and will throw more shot than you have a use for unless sniping at distance. If staying mainstream on ammo, 20ga is close.
