Title: Closes a door and...closes the window?
Post by: Weathered-Branch on March 27, 2020, 10:09:42 PM
So my state just went on lockdown, yay lots of time to make new calls!

Then I almost slice my finger off splitting firewood with a brand new axe...

So no working on the lathe...

I think he's telling me to take it easy for awhile... :mycross:

Time to sit back and relax sounds like.  Hope the finger heals fast!

It should, brand spanking new axe, bought it today, so very clean cut. Might have gone to bone but missed tendons and stuff (I think). Just pisses me off not being able to work! Besides making calls I live on a family farm and there is so much work to do, and now I can't help much...

Cant deny needing to take a break though...

Going from an old axe to a new one is an easy way to get in trouble, sorry you have to join the cabin fever club!

Old axe wasn't dull, just wasn't meant for splitting so bought one that was, and had a freak mishap while not wearing gloves like I usually do...

Actually doesn't hurt that bad, just puts me on light duty for awhile

Best part is my nephew was watching and learned a very valuable lesson. Sharp objects are not toys, and even experienced people get hurt. He no longer wants an axe for his 11th b-day...

The real question is, did he learn any new words?
