Can any of you local guys give a report as to the turkey activity and conditions down that way? Spring a little earlier than usual?

Thanks in advance for any info

Jonathan

They were gobbling over the weekend and I have seen a couple strutting in the road.

Great hunting and a really good turkey population of you can get on private property (pasture fields) along the foot of the mountains. If you're planning a hunt on the Cherokee NF (North) you'll need to really do your homework. There are turkeys but the population is so sparse that men who used to hunt the Cherokee often have nearly given up on it.
