Man, I'm glad you posted this.  I had seen it before a year or two ago, and it had really helped me become a better turkey hunter.  I think I was starting to slip back into my old bad habits, but this gives me a quick refresher course on how it's really supposed to be done!  Thanks, buddy!  :)

Initially watching the video, I did NOT realize it was meant in humor...  Seemed pretty typical to me.

The discussion of turning down the radio when he thought he heard a gobble is not so far off from what I have seen some other "hunters" doing when hunting some public areas.

Funny and cleaver video that I enjoyed...  Thank you for posting!

These extreme turkey hunters are an inspiration to me and I post this every year in hopes that others may learn from them.

No way they were going to kill a turkey talking that loud!...  (the rest of their setup was perfect as far as I could tell)  :)

You all laugh but that's about how most of the guys on our hunting clubs actually hunt.

Hey man,...consider yourself lucky.  I would rather have them doing that than actually getting out and hunting like we do it.  ...Just eliminates some competition that we would have otherwise. 

We have the same "problem" with road hunters around here.  Lot's of people driving around trying to kill a bird crossing the road,...but very few actual "turkey hunters",...although you would think there were hunters everywhere.  Personally, I love it that way!

I enjoy that side of the viewpoint gobblenut. I still have a serious issue with people killing wild game that are to lazy or wimpy to go out and put some effort into it. It's probably weird but I just feel they deserve better. And I find those types of people just typically aren't decent people anyways so I avoid them like they are Coronavirus infected hippies. Enjoyed the video though.

Outside of the radio being on, I believe killing a bird from the vehicle would be no problem...  I feel like they react to a vehicle about as much as a turkey blind (which in most places is not at all).

There is one ranch I hunt, in which I could easily park off-road in some prime areas, and almost certainly have the same success inside the vehicle or out.  Something about "rolling down the window" to shoot a bird just does not feel right though....

I have noticed that turkeys do not seem to react to parked vehicles, or vehicles driving...  But they DO get nervous if a moving vehicle slows down or stops.  A truck door closing can move birds right quick as well.

But as GobbleNut states, I would prefer to be in a club that guys hunt from the vehicle, over one in which most of the members were actually willing to get out and put feet on the ground.  Sure they will kill some...  But it gives you a lot more access to birds that are not being hunted....

And if being in a turkey hunting club is anything like being in a duck club...  Success is something you want to keep to yourself, or be as humble as possible about.  If you are more successful than they are, either more hunters will emulate you, or resent you...  Or both.

Most never see me. They are to busy sitting in a field with their rifle out the window.

I absolutely agree with that,...especially the part about a wild turkey deserving better than to be killed that way.  I love the lazy/wimpy guys that won't actually get out and hunt, though.  I just hope they don't get lucky and kill a bird while hunting that way.

I am sure the guys in the video were making a satirical comment on that, as well.  ...Still funny as heck, though.

Don't know about Oregon but trying to hunt from the truck is definitely a common tactic here. The turning down the radio to hear is the funniest part to me. I've actually heard guys calling from the truck and you could clearly hear the radio? It's a funny video but it's also closer to reality than some of us realize.

That's why they're "extreme" turkey hunters.  They can take it.
