Well we got it done yesterday with my 8 year old son taking his first bird of the year and 3rd gobbler overall. It was a warm morning and we worked for this bird, did not get a shot till 11:30.
Most of you may not know the impact that hurricane Michael had on the Panhandle of Florida, but it was immense. Days of work to clear roads and clean up debris, all worth it to track down and harvest a great gobbler.
Took the bird with his Escort semi auto youth 20 gauge, Carlsons Turkey choke .565 and Federal TSS #9. Folded up at 25 yards, great morning...
Congratulations to the young man!! The picture says it all, priceless.
Very nice.
I hunt mostly public and my legs get tired walking around blowdowns. Trails we have been walking for 20 years and I can hardly see where they were.
Congrats to you and your son!!

X2.
It defiantly changed the woods.
Congratulations youngster, fine bird.
Awesome bird , congrats young man ..
Congrats on a really nice bird young man
Well done
He did great.
The first two turkeys that he took were from a tent and he used a tripod to hold his gun. I think that tent hunting is great for kids that are just beginning to learn how to hunt or turkey hunt.
This bird was taken off his knee, in the woods, gobbled 25 yards in front of him.
Made a great shot after we chased this joker for 4 hours. Awesome hunt...
Sweet!! I bet he was pumped after a hunt like that. Congrats to you both!
Congrats to you and your son.
That's awesome. Congrats to you both
