Title: NC Public Turkey Hunting
Post by: chmcpherson on March 24, 2020, 06:28:33 AM
Anyone familiar with any of the North Carolina public lands? Not trying to take anyone spots, just curious on how the turkey hunting in NC is and any specific rules/regulations that stand out. Appreciate any/all responses.

Very familiar with Juniper Creek GL in Brunswick County.
All the high ground is being logged as we speak.

Certain state gamelands are by permit only for turkeys.  The permit drawing this year was March 2.  There are turkeys killed every year on state gamelands and national forest land but it's not generally easy.  I suggest going to the NC Wildlife Resources Commission website. It has a lot of information on gamelands across the state.
