Neither of my Remington 870 20 gauges have swivel studs nor caps for mounting a sling. I'll be carrying camera gear for a tv show and will need to be more hands free. Since I don't want to have one drilled into the stock so soon before the opener does anyone recommend a good sling that slips over the stock? I don't mind buying a swivel cap since it's an easy fix.

I'd just Google gun slings and I'm sure you'll find whatever you need.

Anobody makes one that slips over the stock ans gun barrel make out of paracord. He makes all kinds of stuff. Look him up on the forum and his prices are reasonable with fast shipping ..

Its such a easy process. U can drill and have that swivel in the stock in 5 minutes.

I purchased 1 a few year ago. It velcroed around the stock and had a new swivel cap. Worked great for many years until I added studs
