Title: Ladies vest?
Post by: 762hunter on March 01, 2020, 09:54:11 AM
Looking for an inexpensive idea from my girlfriend's vest/bag.  It will be her 1st year so not sure how many times she will actually go.

Any suggestions?

Get her a Glenda Green satchel.. Glenda makes a small one and large satchel .. she will love the satchel...Glenda Green is on Facebook and you can see pictures of her satchel and other turkey products she makes ..

Is your girlfriend the type of woman that carries a purse a lot? If so I would suggest one of Glenda Green's satchels. Bonus here is if it ends up not working out then you can use it yourself.

Knight and hale RNG, I just got the 200 and it is very light and adjustable. Honestly not sure it will be enough for me but I am hoping it is, trying to trim the fat so to speak.

Cabelas used to have a women's vest, not sure if they still do?

Depends on what kind of hunting you do. Glendas satchel is awesome. Her minimalist would be a good starter bag. If you're highly mobile and work hard terrain, the RNG. Highly adjustable, cinches snug and moves with you. Calls are quick to access, material is quiet and durable. Seat is easy, comfy and silent to deploy.

My daughter uses an Ol Tom essential vest. It's a little big but has pockets enough and a good cushion.

There is one in the classifieds.

If your wife is like mine, she won't be calling and she won't be carrying calls.  She doesn't need to pack a suitcase full of junk.  I typically carry everything needed.  The most she' packs is gloves, facemask, a few shells, and a license, maybe a bottle of water.  My wife typically needs something to sit on and a few pockets.  I'd be more concerned with making the hunt somewhat comfortable with a good seat/cushion and not so much how much she can carry.

Another vote for Glenda minimalist satchel or the RNG 200 if needing an actual vest.
