Yes those are really nice .. my first call back years ago, yes i'm old was turtle shell with piece of slate glue in it with cedar and hickory homemade corn cob strikers .. still have this first slate call..
Unfortunately there are all kinds of regulations about turtle shells here in here in California East AKA New York so I have not gotten them. There sure are some pretty ones though.

The worst part is I knew that from reading on the site before and I had forgotten they were made of woods. Thanks for setting me right though.
