Found one I might be able to buy. Are they any good?
I used one in my 1187 shooting longbeard xrs before switching to tss and it threw a fantastic pattern with longbeard. I would like to try shooting tungsten through it. But yes very nice choke
A little too tight for tss in my opinion. It's an excellent lead choke. If you look on the choke, it clearly says for lead shot only. Try it if you want to though
The best all around choke I have owned. I had three. Kept one and gave the other ones to my sons. Youngest son doesn't like turkey hunting any more so I traded one for a Jebs. My guess is the ventilators shoot just as good if not better. In my 3 inch 21 inch barrel 870 it shot Lead Winchester 5 and 6 and Federal turkey thug 5 and 6 very well. In 130s with lead with most ammo except Kent.
Used a Ventilator for years, and still have it in the safe for one of my back up scatterguns. Good choke that threw good patterns.
According to a Remington choke tube restriction listing I have, the Ventilator is a .655". I have one and it did a great job with lead shot. The gun that I used it in is no longer used as a turkey gun but if need be, I'd pull that gun from the rack, screw in the Ventilator, and head to the woods with out hesitation.
