Title: Diaphragm call holder
Post by: mcw3734 on January 29, 2020, 11:19:25 PM
Tired of my diaphragm call making noise in its hard plastic case while I'm walking. Anybody have suggestions for a silent, but still protective, alternative? Thank you!

Primos call pouch or get one from Dave Owens if you want it in bottomland.

Midwest Turkey Call Supply has several different types.  Just search for Hunting bags and Call pouches.

I'd go with a call pouch. I used one last year sold by Tom Teasers, but they are all generally comparable. I just wear it around my neck and it eliminates fiddling with the plastic case. Dave Owens is selling some really nice looking ones at pinhotiproject.com, but it is pretty expensive at $45. The one I have was only $6.99.

Yea my Alps vest has a call box on the shoulder strap.

But if I was looking I would definitely scoop one up from Dave Owens.

Primos No Lose Call case.  Easy to use, easy to carry around your neck.  I keep as many as 10 in it.

The Allen Shocker series all has call holders built in. The mask, gloves and the shotgun sling all have holders built in. I have the sling and like it so far, but will test it for the first time in March. I am actually thinking of getting the gloves, which have the holders on the top of the hand. Seems like it would be convenient and very easy to get to.

Austin Cook makes those call cases sold on Dave's website. It's handmade, and made extremely well at that.  Check him out on Facebook

I would second that.  Austin makes a darn fine product, and it's worth every penny.

Buy you a camo hat with the mesh call pockets on the brim. Ive used one for 15 years. Never lost a call they are always handy and it helps dry them out. I never did like the idea of sticking a wet call in plastic case! lol
