Have y'all found the chrome line barrel guns like the m2 shoot better with dirty barrels or clean?
Both of my Italian Stallions shoot better patterns with dirty barrels. Better numbers and also denser.
Deep cleaned mine, wire brush 100 strokes (no drill), dry patches around 40 strokes, took some birchwood casey 2in1 bore cleaner on a patch passed through a few times let it set for a few minutes, then wire brushed again, then dry patched it to clean it up. The barrel was clean to the naked eye, but after running the birchwood through it, it did make it more shinnier and cleaner to the naked eye alot more fouling and deposits came out. Before cleaning I shot a 2 3/4, 7 1/2 shot, then cleaned it and shot again, it did help a touch, with TSS could be better could be worse, i would try polishing but I havent found a thread yet on just the M2 about polishing. Only took maybe 15 to do the cleaning
I like mine clean and so does my gun.
I don't have an m2 but my Vinci and nova both shoot best with a slightly dirty barrel. With squeaky clean barrels the patterns are noticeably less dense
Dirty,Clean mine about ever two springs.

I have a Franchi, and it shoots better dirty.
Not much different clean or dirty. Dirty seems to edge out clean slightly. With #9 TSS its hard to say.
Some like them clean and some dirty. I shot two chrome lined guns yesterday and one did better dirty while the other like it clean. I shoot them all bore snaked 2-3X for consistency.
My SBE2 likes a fouled barrel. I tried deep cleaning it and the second shot patterned better and was denser than the clean bore shot.
