Hey guys, which call maker do you think makes the best mini boat paddle box? Looking for one that can do all a longbox can do without the cumbersome length. I've checked out Preachermans boxes and they're definitely sharp looking. Hoping to find a good one that's not quite as pricey though. Thanks for any help.

Although it is the only one I have.... Ralph Snodgrass makes a really nice mini boat paddle and is a great guy to deal with. The one I have is Osage lid and butternut. I am very pleased with the sound and craftsmanship.
If you don't mind sharing, what does Ralph charge for one of his boxes?

Definitely Snodgrass. Do a search here on OG, there are a couple threads with Ralph's mini boats. I hunt a ebony/chestnut mini of his.

I hunt one of his mini's, a mulberry over elm.
Very sweet sounding call.
Watkins does a misfit which is a shorter version of his long box

I picked up one from Bob Harwell last year that I like pretty well.

Ed Terefencko is another good option.

I got one this summer and it was around $160 don't know if prices have changed. That was with Gortex holster also.
