I look forward to turkey season all year like most of you, and I had a great season here in KY. I killed my two best birds (one was on public ground) in the first 4 days of our season, and I actually only hunted three of those days (I don't hunt on Sundays). It's been around two weeks since I've got to do any turkey hunting and it seems like two years; however, my hunting buddy and I have had a trip to Kansas planned since January and we head out next week! Man I'm ready!!
Good Luck, we were out in KS in April and didn't get on birds till the last day, Public Ground, We were in the El Darado area, Had a blast meet some new friends, saw alot of Birds but they were all on Private ground, or in huge Fields and would not respond to any calls at all, very windy, Had a Bad storm roll threw. Came back Home and Tagged out here the first Day, also My 1st Bird (Jake), with 3 2" beards. This is my 2nd year hunting Turkey, and I sure wish I could shoot another Bird, I have land in Ky, But tags and Gas, isn't in this years budget, Next year Iam going to Tenn, and Ky. But wish you the Best Of luck on your trip. Iam sure you will have a Blast and see more birds then we did?
