Finally, after some frustrating hunts with little to no gobbling I got some blood in the home state. 20 lbs , 10 inch beard, 1 1/2 spurs!

Thanks everyone. This one had way bigger hooks than any of the others I've killed. I know it has mostly to do with age but do genetics play a big role? I've noticed in one of the places we hunt the spurs have something funky going on. I didnt know if it was just a coincidence?
