Shot this jake on the evening of the last day of our Fall season. He had 119 green stink bugs, maybe 8 or so gray ones, about 10 black segmented worms, a couple of small acorns, maybe 10 or so cricket type bugs and 23 or so kernels of corn. This is about a third of what was in there.(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20191109/e58c6b9a732b5eb25c4d3e3c4922d330.jpg)

Looks like he's been eating well
Yes...Couldn't believe it when I saw it.
If there were ten turkeys walking through a place, they could eat almost 1200 stink bugs in an afternoon!
I've heard farmers say they didn't like turkeys because they thought they were destructive of their crops. I guess consuming that number of destructive bugs would more than balance out that aspect of their behavior.
That reminds me, I have to get to a friends house and get some pictures of what my turkey had been eating when I got it this Spring. Amazing what all they will eat.
I killed one this fall in the middle of a vast expanse of oaks dropping acorns. Shot him at 4 in the afternoon so he had been feeding all day. Not one acorn. He was absolutely chock full
Of Rose Hips. He was walking in a 6-8 year old cutover just picking them to beat the band
Grain feed , should eat good
Got that picture today, interesting to see.
