When I don't, I use the Beard Buster belt with an additional carrying pouch I put on it.

I have to wear one. Can't fit all my stuff I take in my pocket. :icon_thumright:
I don't...with all the stuff I carry (DB Blind, DSD hen decoys, strutter decoy, bow, binoculars, chair, calls cameras) I just throw it in the golf cart and go. As you can see, I'm not much of a "runnin-n-gunnin" type anymore.

don't know where i'd keep all my stuff if i did'nt carry one ..i thought one time i'd go light and take only a pouch with a couple calls ,,seems the calls i picked to take ,no turkeys like them ,not one response..after arround 11'ish i went got my vest and the first call i pulled out ,the gobblers went at it..learned my lesson....ya never know what will get the ole' tom gobblin'/.. my saying about the vest now....it's better to have and not need it ,than to need it and not have it ...hahahaha :icon_thumright:
I don't use a vest for mainly for 2 reasons. Down here in the deep south its to hot and humid to wear one. I don't carry that much gear. Sometimes I wear a belt similar to the one above or a shoulder bag. Most of the time neither. I have pouches that clip to belt loops for pot calls, box call, water bottle, and inner tube that I sit on. Diaphragm calls are in pouches that hang around my neck along with trumpet yelper and tube calls on lanyards. Yep I'ma old guy.
I also use the Primos Gobbler vest .
That is just one of the best things about turkey hunting. Packing your vest before the season starts.
I can't afford one, if i could I'm sure I'd have one ;)
I do not use a vest. I have a belt with a fanny pack and 3 or 4 call holders on it. When I get to my spot, I take it off and lay it beside me, at the ready. Works well for me. Mike :icon_thumright:
Absolutely. I have everything I need in my vest except my gun (it wont fit). So with one quick grab I can be on my way with no worries on leaving something behind.
i always have mine on but with pa. going to an all day deal the last 2 weeks i think for the afternoon hunts all im going to carry with me is my call saver with the hooks devastators in it.it gets pretty dang hot in the afternoons here and the lighter the better.hopefully i will be tagged out in n.y. and pa. and not have to hunt the afternoons.
I wear a BeardBuster Run and Gun Belt with their slate pouch attached to the other side.. I really do not carry much with me
I don't use one cause I have a pullover leafy type thin top with a front pocket. I pack light because of the south miss heat and all the walking I do
I wear a Limbhanger vest. My Grandpa (he will be 91 on Feb 29, Leap Year Baby) has a old leather bag that he had custom made at a saddle shop in the eairly 1970's. He said he had one just like it before this one that finally just rotted on him.
Sometimes. When I don't it's a few calls in my pockets and my Gobbler Lounger
I use the Cabala's Tactical vest and what I do from past experience is start at the end of the season and replace anything that did not work or was not needed (never happens) and start loading it again for the next season. I drive over six hours one way for a weekend hunt so I have everything I need to "HUNT" in the vest. I don't worry then about where a call is or my turkey shells or my filled water bottle or -. If I did not do this I might have to go another 1.5 hours to replenish my never ending supply list. My Hat face mask and license and turkey tags get the same treatment. But then there is the Tupperware container with a snap lid that I take for additional you just might want this too items (no it stays in the lodge or car).Mike
:help: :help: :help:
I do.
I use one a lot of the time, especially early season. Later on when it gets hot or if I don't feel like carrying everything, I will just take a owl call, crow call, and some mouth calls.
I dont wear a vest cuz i dont take much stuff with me a few calls and a gun i can fit all my calls in my hush hide suit i wear.
Always.
My vest is a critical piece of my equipment and I wouldn't be found in the woods without one.
Always. Cabela's Tactical Tat'r.
Yup. Mossy Super Elite III.
I always do.Its a 10x strap vest I got a walmart about 10 yrs age for about $10.has just enough pockets for my stuff, but not too many that I weigh myself down with extra crap i dont need.have a primos vest but dont care much for the vests with the full shoulders, just seem to like the strap style better. Not as hot and just as comfy.
I did not wear one for years but do now. I have figured out that not every bird likes the same call or striker. You can't use what you don't have.
I also use the super elite 3. I bought a 15 pocket fanny pack that I'm gonna try later in the season when I'm doing my turkey death marches...... Usually do plenty of walking later in the mornings.
Usually start out w/ the vest early in the season, then switch over to my gameplan spot n' stalk pack when the weather heats up. I normally dont carry as many calls in the late season than I do in the early season.
I do. Some of my hunts are all day affairs, so I carry more food and water than anything else and a vest makes that pretty easy.
No vest here ,, i like to carry shoulder bag ,, more comfy for me
I always wear my primos vest.

Same here! It's my way of remembering everything.... Until it rains and I empty my vest to let things dry out and then the inevitable happens and I end up forgetting something.

I guess as long as you don't wear high heel snake boots and carry the purse on the same hunt.

I wear a vest for now
I'm like a boy scout....always be prepared.
The best way for me to do that is to pack my turkey vest with everything I think I might need on a hunt.
I always wear a Primos Gobbler Vest when turkey hunting.
Yep I wear a vest most days.
ol'tom
I wear a vest.
For this spring I'll be trying out a semi-vest-like camelback with some pockets. I hope to lighten the load to carry my gobbler lounger more. I got spoiled to the comfort.
I want to tone it down to a few mouth calls, a pot call and a box.
I'll always have a vest, sometimes you just have to carry some stuff!
I ditched the vest last year. I found one of the old Primos Freaky Seats on close-out at a shop that was going out of bussiness. That, coupled w/ a mouth call wallet around my neck, a box call pouch on my belt & a small Camelbak ruck, I'm good to go & very mobile.
Be safe,
Nathan
