If y'all don't mind.. I'll keep posting videos as we put them out on this thread.. figured you guys wouldn't mind some stuff to watch while in "summer depression"?
First day back from our western trip was a good one, I was flat out covered up in birds. Was able to put my tag on the final piece needed to complete my first single season grand slam.

Very good video and congrats on a nice bird and your grand slam

Another great video, guys!
Just a casual observation: Houses in the background,...cars on a highway,...guy on a tractor,....turkeys acting like there's not a care in the world right out in the wide open,...no other indication of other hunters around. Wow! I want to find me a public land place like that for Easterns. Sure doesn't fit the image of public-land Eastern wild turkey hunting that you hear from most around here!
Bonce went on a bit of a tear that first week back...

Ep. 20
Things finally came together for me with a real quick mid morning hunt.

Episode 21 was a real fun one for me. Hunted 2 states before noon and had action all morning long. Started in foggy hardwoods with a fine longbeard willing to play the game, then crossed borders to find sunshine and some hard gobbling in your face jakes!

Episode 28... I absolutely love slipping in under a bird in the dark... and got almost too close for comfort on this one, but it all worked out quite nicely.

Ep 30
This was a pretty memorable bird and video from this season for me, you may recognize the spot from Ep28 - This is the bird that was 15 yds off my right shoulder. Went back after him the night before and he busted me at 10 yards - but was able to figure out where he was and got under him the next morning. He proceeded to put me through hell as it took 2.5hrs of daylight before he finally wanted to pitch straight to me!

As usual...enjoyed watching

First of the "New England hunts" starts off with me getting a small taste of Vermont, then getting on a Tom I was able to roost in New Hampshire. This will go down as some of my favorite footage from the season, not for the hunt itself but for the memories with my uncle. Apologize in advance for the language in this one but my uncle got a little excited. It is what it is!

That was fun..your uncle does get waayyy excited
Ep 33
Bonce starts his New England tour in Connecticut which does not make things easy for him, then is treated with a little better hospitality in Vermont

Episode 35... Vermont was kicking my butt there for a bit. But with enough puzzle pieces things started to fall together. And when you receive a gift. You oblige.

Ep36... getting down to the wire. Bonce starts his morning in Vermont then heads to Maine for the PM where he runs into an old friend from last year.

Ep 37
After finally filling a tag in Vermont, I head to Maine and I'm initially met with familiar gobbleless skies. But with some miles on the boots, I finally find a stubborn ol' boy that doesn't want to budge. Sometimes when faced with that situation, you have to improvise.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9noiccByqXI&feature=youtu.be
Well Derek looks like you guys had to work and earn those late season gobblers
The two back to back misfires in the NH video.....was it the shell or gun malfunction. You never mentioned it after the shot seemed important.
Gun malfunction. Cleaned it and found a stick inside of the trigger assembly. Cant imagine that was helping things.

Ep 38
Bonce's last day. After getting to Maine the afternoon of the 3rd remaining day and filling his first Maine tag right off the bat, the next day he drove back to New Hampshire just to make sure he didnt short himself a morning had things lined up perfectly in Maine again. After that hunt he heads back to Maine and on the last morning finds a bird willing to play the game.

The last one - Episode 39
It was an incredible spring - and I thank you all for watching and following along. I greatly enjoyed the process even though it was frustrating at times. This filming thing was brand new to me going in, but I feel like I've learned a lot this spring.. already can't wait until next spring.. it's not official yet... but there's a good chance we start off on an island ;)

That's a good way to end your season Derek..thanks for sharing your hunts this season
I enjoyed Y'alls videos this year! Do it again next year!
Thanks guys.

That certainly is the plan. I even sprung for a camera upgrade a couple weeks ago. Hoping I figure out how to use it before spring.
Should have plenty of time to practice with waterfowl, fall turkey and sika deer this fall/winter so keep an eye on the channel if any of that sounds interesting.
