This morning we were in the woods at 5:00am. I didnt know where the birds were the night before so I was kind of guessing where they were roosting. Well I guess right and they were roosted about 100 yards right in front of us. we setup in a huge field. I thought it was dark enough to be setting up but when light came the toms were nervous. some were strutting and some werent. 8 gobblers and 4 jakes flew down and 1 hen. All but the 2 jakes and the hen left and they were stinking nervous. I was calling calmly to try to calm them down. I think they were nervous because they saw me setting up. After about 3 1/2 hours of calling softly and agressively, this jake came in to about 50 yards and my girlfriend put some lead in his head. It was her first time hunting and I couldnt be happier. It made my day completely.
She made a heck of a shot on it :z-guntootsmiley:
