My favorite season of the year has come and gone all too quickly. It all started with my daughter taking a great Georgia gobbler during the youth weekend. I hit a dry spell early in the season with henned up gobblers and was only able to take one Georgia bird before heading to Tennessee the second weekend in April. Tennessee was good to us. My brother and I were able to take two doubles in two days. After returning home to south Georgia, the hens were starting to separate from the gobblers and I was able to kill two nice birds in the following two weeks to finish off my Georgia limit. The first weekend in May was spent in NW Nebraska chasing Merriam's. We had a couple days of good weather and that was enough to get the job done. Good times were had and great memories were made.
