Got this gun from one of the best friends/ turkey hunters I'll ever know. He passed away about 5 years ago and my turkey hunting hasn't been the same since. So I sold my old school Remingtons to go a different direction. I've had the barrel for years, got the sling and gun wrap last year from my wife. If this gun could talk it would tell tales about a relationship between grandson and grandfather in southern IL during the goose hunting heydays and turkey hunts in MO before Mark Twain Lake even had water. He bought this when he was 17 and I'm proud to say it's going back into the field where we have shared Fall and Spring turkey hunts together. 5th season IL opens this week and I hope to put a bird down with it.(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20190507/adb7b610e92e6a84384f0e827c022fa6.jpg)(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20190507/89ca2b63e2744b5f5c6f35bdae63c5e4.jpg)(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20190507/ba8252efb64862aa1e130452356107a8.jpg)(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20190507/77e91db7427e5289a934cb8292862c55.jpg)(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20190507/25676a59f180a5c152d504dd5442e928.jpg)(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20190507/caa804878c3f57ce2eb433f69da00ca4.jpg)

Wow looks awesome

I wish you luck.
Looks great!! Great backstory, great way to dress up a part of the family.
Nice looking gun !!!!!
Great revamp of the old girl. Looks great.
I did my old WM similar. Went with the sure shot and MOBU bbl and forearm. I only had to put wrap on the receiver. Thinking of sending it off for a full dip. Those WMs are hard to beat.
Looks great! Good luck!

That looks sweet!
Nice
That looks nice, good luck with your hunt. What's the significance of the Louisiana quarter?
My 870 is similar in appearance to the one in the photo, never-the-less, it's my go-to shotgun for deer and turkeys. About 10 years ago, I inherited my grandfather's Model 12 which brought in table fare during the Great Depression and rabbits when we hunted together during my high school years. A couple of years ago, I took it turkey hunting for its initial turkey experience and brought home a nice 2-year old bird taken at 20 yards with a load of #6 shot in a 2 3/4" high brass shell. Grandpa would have been proud...
