Went out this morning. Go in the woods at 530am. Set up on the outskirts of a field I thought looked promising. Some owl locater calls yielded nothing. No response . Around 7 am started some turkey calls. Every ten minutes or so for 45 min. No response nothing.
Picked up and headed to another location and the same results.
I just want to shoot one!!
I guess I need to put in more time scouting. Hard on public land. Trucks everywhere
If it were easy , everyone would do it.
Turkeys can smell desperation. Slow down and and try to have more patience.
