So I posted awhile ago about how helpful Gooserbat (Sam) was in helping me with my daughters gun setup, but I underestimated how classy of a guy he really was.
After my daughter shot her gobbler, he asked me for some back feathers. I didn't think anything of it because many people ask me for all kinds of feathers. Little did I know that he was planning something for Sophia with them.
About a week ago he texted me some pics of a gift he made for her and asked me to keep it quiet until she got to open it and leave it as a surprise. All he asked was that I send him a video of the reveal.
She has not stopped talking about it and has told numerous family members. What a beautiful call and I am truly touched that he did all of this for a little lady who he has never met. Well I've been hesitant to post on this thread but I think it warrants a reply. I didn't put this call together for any reason more than I wanted a young lady to have something to remember her time afield by. Her time spent with her father and experiencing a successful hunt should always be cherished and I know all to well the busyness of life can and will dull our memories unless sometimes there is a momentto to cause us to stop and remember. I hope Sophia has a long and successful hunting career ahead.
Sam thanks for all you have done. She will cherish this and your correct, life with our kids flys by all to quickly. Her and I will remember her first hunt forever and the call will definitely remind her hopefully well after I leave this earth. Thanks again brother. Your one classy individual.
