Nebraska panhandle and Wyoming high plains are looking forward to freezing rain, up to a foot of snow and winds to 55 mph starting tomorrow.
Dang man. Never hunted there, but that sounds like it's not going to be a picnic for turkey hunting. Good luck

That sucks! On the bright side after that weather moves out they should be ready to talk.
Sounds like my trip to the black hills a couple years ago lol
Been there done that. :toothy9:
This one looks like a doozy though...for northeast Colorado too.
Did a little scouting up here in South Dakota and found these folks today. We're on the northern edge so hopefully no more than 12" ver the next couple days. We told them to bundle up and sit tight.
Southern New Mexico: I'm headed for the mountains this evening. Have to go through a pass on the way where the winds are expected to possibly be up to 115 mph. Will be interesting,...I haven't been in a hurricane before ;D
...Supposed to snow Saturday, as well.

Looks like you camped right in the woods, that's awesome! Was this Dawes County? I may camp at my spot near Crawford in May. Sucks getting up so early to get up there in time and still not even have any birds roosted.
On the northern edge of it in SD and some of the ranches I hunt already have 8-10 inches so far and more coming.
Hunted South Dakota, a few years ago, the first week of May. We had 6 inches of snow the first day there and it stuck around the next 4 to 5 days. All I can say is get after them. They still have to eat and will be moving around. The day after the snow, I called in a double for two guys with the 6 inches of snow on the ground. Bad weather out that way but you can get it done. Good Luck Guys!
Only advice I have is don't whizz into the wind. Good luck, be safe.
Don't remind me....
Luckily it looks to be cleared off by opening day but getting there might be a chore.
I don't remember what year it was. Maybe like 4-5 years ago, my buddy couldn't make it to Nebraska after he left Oklahoma. Crazy deep snow drifts.
Never underestimate the weather in northern Nebraska.(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20190410/cc307ea7d08174a0c8331da3e442bf1f.jpg)
