Title: Decoy Bags ?
Post by: Turkeytider on April 08, 2019, 03:24:03 PM
Grown not so crazy about mesh bags.Kind of hard to use IMO, decoys seem to get fouled going in and out, stakes get tangled, etc. Anybody familiar with a non-mesh bag with shoulder straps?

I think Basspro/cabelas has one.

I just bought a HS strut decoy bag of Ebay for around $10. Its a big black cloth bag with shoulder straps, could actually hold several decoys. The fabric is not as soft as the original Avian X decoy bag  so its a little noisy but not too bad.

I used to have a Ameristep Penthouse blind that unfortunately got ruined so I have been stuffing a pair of decoys and stakes in the backpack for that and just wear them in like a backpack. Just tuck the heads down in when leaving.

The one that comes with a DSD decoy is pretty nice, not sure if they are available separately or not.

Try Mrs. Annette  Usahuntingear she use to make a nice decoy bag. I have a double bag 1 bag 2 compartments. I think she made a single also.

I just made a camo bag with drawstring top with two adjustable straps.  It's big enough to carry all three of my Flextone full bodies decoys.  And has room to spare.

I use a big duffel bag type bag that I got off of sportsman's guide several years ago that opens at the top. It only has one strap, but also has a handle in the middle of the bag. Works for me.
