Looking for opinions on two choke tubes, truglo ssx .555 or carson extended .575. Will be shooting federal tss #9's. I will be loaning my 20 gauge to my father this spring and I am a bit concerned the ssx patterns may be too unforgiving for shots under 25 yards. The gun does have a red dot which helps. Just looking for opinions from people who have shot both or similar consrictions.
Thanks,
I shoot the Carlson and it is a good hunting choke with 9's. Not super tight at 40 and allows some room for error. I've probably got a good 25 to 30 inch pattern at 40 yrds.
