Took my nephew out this morning in hopes of catching up with 2 longbeards I knew were using an area. We didn't make it 3 steps into he woods and ended up bumping about 4-5 birds. Knowing that birds use the area daily we set up. Day light came and a few distant gobbles later. I caught movement about 80 yards out and spotted 4 Jakes heading in our direction. After a couple light calls they turned and headed in our direction. Once they were able to see the decoys they made a beeline right to them. Once one separated he was able to finally shoot. Done at 7:40.
