Two beautiful Lonzo pot calls. Zebra wood glass over aluminum (If I remember correctly) and a Redheart or Padauk glass over slate. I am not a wizard like some that can tell the soundboard at a glance or by ear! Both new never hunted. Made in 2016. Looking to get $75 each or $140 for both. Open for trades maybe in area of a SS ebony over holly, a trumpet or something interesting.
Believe the padauk pot is glass over aluminum and the zebra is glass over glass

Just look through the holes in pot and you'll see the soundboard. You'll be able to tell what it's made of. If it's glass it's obviously shiny. Slate looks like slate. Aluminum will be silver

If the aluminum isn't painted flat black.

Which on Lon's calls most are. They're usually easier to tell by the face of the soundboard on Lon's calls.
A small precision screwdriver or small scratch awl poked through one of the holes on the back VERY VERY gently can usually help tell as well by feel and sound coming off the tip of the awl or screwdriver.
I learned something, never knew he painted em. I've got a few and actually never looked as I knew what they are. You guys have me interested to see

The slates and ceramics can be real tough to tell what it is sometimes. I think most assume glass but Lon does quite a few over alum and some over slate even.
As BTH said, on the surfaces you obviously can't see through a small screwdriver is perfect.
I thought Lon had different color sound board to tell what they are?

I think you're thinking of the black and gold rings on the underside of the glass or crystal surface. Gold is crystal.

We're you able to pin down what the soundboards are?
I'm still unsure because both are black underneath on sound boards. The padauk is smaller in diameter. I don't want to mislead anyone!

I can say with 100% confidence based on the pictures the Paduak is glass over aluminum and the Zebra glass over glass.
I love aluminum so I would say you are correct and I don't use them but I get as many aluminum pots I can from call makers. Big help guys thanks need to start documenting what and makes I have!!
The aluminum soundboard is a smaller diameter.. you can tell from looking at the surface, you can see the edges.
