Looking for your favorite striker to use on any aluminum surface really. Copper also. Thanks, Al Baker
I like tulipwood and dymondwood

Persimmon is absolutely killer on my aluminum. A wood that doesn't get a lot of notoriety but is just so good.
For anodized aluminum I like dymondwood and snakewood
On copper I like osage and cedar. Both sound good but different on my call.
My calls are dry and the dymondwood and purpleheart are nice. I will try some more of your suggestions later. Thanks for all the input. I am excited, the Osage orange and bocote look great and sound good. Totally different but both sound good. Thanks again guys.
Diamondwood for aluminum.
Heavier Bloodwood striker for copper.

There are two strikers that sound good on every aluminum pot I own. Woodhaven laminated birch and Dad's monkey wood.
Bubinga
Ipe

Have had good luck with Ipe, Pink Ivory, Dymondwood and a Lyman hickory. Black locust does not sound bad either.
Bloodwood on alum, also try Padauk on your copper.
