Drove over to Alabama after yesterday's final Ms bird. Got there just in time to go listen to try and roost one. Never been to this place before but lucked out and roosted one at fly up.
Next morning I thought I had him coming in when I see him catch flight and fly across the drainage prob 1/2 mile. It's mountainous where I was. No idea what that was about.
Started to cover ground and got on a bird, maybe him since it was in the same direction but idk. Was setup good and again figured he was dead but he finally shut up. So I took off walking again to see if I could find another or just learn the lay of land in the process. No luck.
On way back to the truck around 11, I figured I'd drop back down to the ridge he was on and see if his mood was diff since it's the only bird I knew of in the area.
Sure enough he was hot and ready when I got there, couldn't even make it to a tree to setup, and to just drop **** and sit on the ground where I was. Came in fast.(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20190327/1fad9ce51f70d97456233c7825d2daf3.jpg)
