Got around to patterning my Ithaca Turkey Slayer this evening. Just need to adjust the sights a little and I think she's ready to go. Forgot to clean and polish the barrel, so I'll do that and adjust sights later this week.
12 gauge
Federal TSS 3" #7 shot 1.75 ounces
40 yards
Indian Creek .670
159 pellets in 10" circle

Love my Ithaca Turkey slayer. I had extremely good luck with Hevi 13 straight 7s. I recently bought Federal TSS #9s. Haven't shot them yet due to hand injury. Might grab a box or 2 of 7.5s just to try out.
Have a good one

That #7 TSS should hit like a freight train... probably body shoot him at 40 yards no problem lol
It's definitely a good pattern but I don't see the need to spend that money on TSS. You can get a pattern that good with longbeards.
I just got a TurkeySlayer last year. Whaked some with my Remington #6's at the usual distance about 20 yards. Do the TSS really reach out to 60 yards? It would be a game changer for me.
The Turkeyslayer has stock choke yet as well.
Thanks
60 yards is a risk for a crippled bird no matter what shot you use. Keep bringing them into your 20 yards and you will enjoy clean, up close kills. That's what Turkey huntings' all about. Just my thoughts here....
