Does anyone have any reviews on this new Snake Boot model from Danner?

I was really interested in the brown/green pair they were offering until I saw that particular one wasn't water-proof like it's camo counterpart.  Oh well, my pronghorns are still holding up well.

I have had a pair of Danner snake boots for about two years. Wore them maybe half a dozen times. Not real comfortable and a pain to put on and take off. Now I only buy rubber boots even when I hunted Florida where the snakes are supposed to be real bad. Didn't see even one but did see plenty of Gators and those snake boots probably would not have helped much. Maybe the newer model is more comfortable and gator proof.

Also had a set of Pronghorns that fell apart after a year. Danner sent me a new pair. New pair poped a gusset first time I put them on but have performed very well since.

I had the same problem. I skipped the lace holes that lined up with the ankles to allow some extra room. Worked perfect.

I have the Danner snake boots.  They began leaking after the first year of use.  I find them to be very comfortable but now only wear them when I know I will be hunting the hardwoods where water isn't much of a problem.  I wear rubber Lacrosse boots when I know that my feet could get wet.

I ordered the Danner Vital Snake Boots last week from ShoeBuy.Com and they were delivered today.  I'm impressed with them and can't wait to try them out.  I couldn't pass up $200.00 boots for $115.00 using the discount code I had.   :turkey2:

I had tons of trouble with Danners (leaking). After many conversations with reps., I was told that the boots made in other countries, no good...American made, good. I found that to be true...

That is generally the consensus with Danner. I have been fairly pleased with all of the Danner's I've had, though. I loved my pronghorn snake boots...only downside was that they weighed about 5 pounds each, it seemed. Gave them away to a guy that was getting into turkey hunting...if I could go back, I'd have kept them, and bought him a new pair!
