TRKYHNTR's thread on his quest fo his 100th gobbler got me wondering. How many turkeys have you killed in your career, and also how old are you?
I've killed 17 and I am 24 so I have a ways to go to hit the 100 mark
1 in 1 season - looking to get number two tomorrow AM ;D
More than a few, and less than a lot. I'm not sure of the exact number, I just know it's not enough yet! :you_rock:
i've killed 10 and missed 2.
Not all of them. Really I have never kept up with the numbers thing....
More than the BIL, but not neer as many as "paintbrush", never kept tracked.
Oh ya, I'm 53.
Total....who knows. So far this year......3.
If I hadn't missed a few it would be alot more than it is right now! ;)
Im 23
16 in 6 years
Don't Know, Don't Care, Don't Keep Track.
I'll be 51 in June.
I keep a hunt journal for all species I hunt, hoping that one day it will mean something to my children/grandchildren.
I have killed 28 since I started hunting. I am 22, been hunting 16 years. Killed a jake my first year at 5 or 6 (think 6) and then was 12 before I killed another. I started the journal at 12, but included the first one also. This is the first year since I was 12 that I did not kill a bird in the spring. Maybe the fall will be a different story.

Im 22. Killed a few. Put my brothers on a few but wasn't the one pulling the trigger. Don't know the exact number, but I have a lot of good memories.
13 turkeys and 28 deer (not counting deer I euthanize at work)
I never kept track, but know every one with blackpowder or bow is as exciting as my first.
Good luck! :you_rock:
Not enough! :cowboy:
:gobble: :fud: :newmascot:
None no turkeys here, maybe someone will read this and tell me they will help me out, just kidding but I have never kept track probably around 50
not enough
69...Great number.
Started in 2000
Killed 3 in 2007
Killed 3 in 2011
I'm 26
Hunted public land most of my career great learning experiences, had my chance on a few birds that I flat out missed but it happens!

DITTO
135 in 8 different states. with Gods Blessing many more.
Not near enough.. :gobble:
NOT NEARLY AS MANY AS I WOULD LIKE TO HAVE
got my 50th beard last spring.lost count on fall birds along time ago.every one feels like the first!
I'm 23 and have been killing turkeys for 16 years. I wish I had kept up with every kill but my best estimate is somewhere between 35-45.
still looking for my first.
I'm 36, haven't kept count but would guess in the 50's
I've always been told "It's not nice to kiss and tell" :)
I have killed 9 this year and still after em. Been turkey hunting for 27 years
I'm 35 been this is my 11th year hunting I've killed 51 with beards and countless hens in the fall. I've got a lot of respect for the birds I've harvested so I've got every beard on the wall.
Ive never kept up with it.
I'll be 55 next month and I have not kept up on the running total. I hope to continue to harvest them for many, many more years. I don't think the numbers really matter. I want to harvest them cleanly and the game is the thing for me. If they didn't gobble I don't think it would be any fun. ;D
Rick
Killed quite a few BUT one member on theis board has over 300 confirmed kills and the beard wall to prove it!
I been trying to figure it out and can't,the best I have is I been doing it 27 years, and my best year was 16 and worst was 3 over the last 15 years, probabbly averaging 8. Before that I went between 1 and 5 a year. I really never kept good count. I know I lost a shoe box of beards and a whole string of spurs in a move several years ago.
I am 32 years old an have been hunting spring turkeys for 18 years. Probably killed 25 or so turkeys. The main point is that I have killed enough to show that I have learned a thing or two, but I have missed or blown enough opportunities to show that I have a lot to learn.
Been hunting in SC for 5-6 years and have killed 4 birds. Had the opportunity at a few others but just could not make it happen. Still learning a lot and loving every second of it. I am 25 years old.
I've killed 4 longbeards. All this year ! 2 off public land in Louisiana and 2 off private land in Kansas. I turned 31 in April. I have been hunting these dang birds off and on for years, but I have been serious about it the last 5 years.
