The Mossy oak store is having a spring event this Saturday with some call makers there and a sale, any of you guys going?
I heard about it today. Cant say who will be there as far as callmakers go though. I would like to go by there as it only about 30 minutes away, but not sure if my schedule will allow it. My wife makes me stay in the shop most saturdays!

Wasnt planning on it, but now that I know some of my Old Gobbler folks will be there I may just have to make the drive up! :you_rock:
I think it said from 9-2 last I looked..
Didn't know anything about it but I think I can talk the wife into taking a trip. We only live about an hour south of there. I'll be wearing this hat!

In thinking about heading over. It's a little over 2 hours for me. Does anyone know if it will be a big sale or more of a hangout event. Chatting with fellow turkey hunters sounds fun either way. Actually I'm lying I'm not a big chatter haha.

Several callmakers will be there. Including David Holloran.
Hey guys does anyone know the name of a call maker that was there today? He was to the left of the door outside and had a nice sounding green slate/cherry pot. I think he's out of Mississippi. I forgot to get his card.

No... but, I am hardcore mossy oak man. I've met Ben Gordon and Michael Carmichael and didn't care for either of them. Toxey, however, is a fine example of a turkey killer.

Yep I think that's him. Does it say Chris Roberts? I was thinking that was the name. I played one of his green slates for a minute. I thought it sounded great. wish I would have bought it.

He had some great sounding calls at a good price. It was nice to you meet yesterday. It's a small world we live in.
I got this call from William Lester yesterday. He didn't take credit cards and I didn't have that much cash on me so he told me to take the call with me and mail him a check. He told the worst thing that could happen to me is I could go to hell if I didn't pay him. LOL!!! Very cool guy that makes some awesome calls. He is from Cleveland, MS. I'll say it again, turkey people are the best. Also, shoer2, great guy!
Nice to meet you too started to get one of those trumpets .they are nice calls
Me and my poults were first in the door Sat morning.....we did a once over and were out the door. I maintained financial control and did not pick any calls up! :TooFunny: Did get a facemask though. William Lester is a really cool individual. I have one of his trumpets. He told me if I ever wanted to talk turkey or work on my calling, either stop by or give him a call....just not during turkey season. :TooFunny:

I tried to show restraint but when Ms Mossy says you can get this and that I don't argue!

I have one of those calls that was given to me by a friend. Bill is a great guy - I have known him for a lot of years. He may take issue with being from Greenville as he is actually lives on the Sunflower River in a very small community called Dockery, which is in Sunflower County. Turkey calls are not his only specialty. He is a true artist and does awesome paintings, many of which we have in our office. Carves dove decoys - you name it and he probably does it!
You are correct, his card says Cleveland, Miss. I must not have had my glasses on.
