So I was wondering what the constriction on my 20ga Remington Hevi Shot superfull tube was and thought I have a Tightwad at .570 and a Truglo SSX at .550
So I put my micrometer on them. The Remington choke is between the 2. But the SSX had the largest exit diameter and Tightwad being the smallest.
I don't understand how .550 is bigger than.570.
Can anyone teach me something?
I also checked my 12ga chokes then. The SSX choke for the Ber/Ben Mobil .643 measured bigger than my .665 Carlson. ???
If it is the Remington Super Full Hevi Approved then my measured .576

I would like to know the answer to why the smaller construction chokes measure larger
.570 is a more open choke then a .555. Those measurements should be the exit diameter. Not sure why they would measure the other way around.

This chart might help you out, if not the article will.
I understand the construction. I don't understand that he said the ssx at .643 measured larger than his IC .665 when he measured them.
Sorry the .665 was a carlson not IC.
Appears as though Truglo is off on their measurements. Because every other choke I have is measuring correctly.
Thanks
