Title: Oddball tactics

What's some of y'all's favorite oddball tactics? My favorite is to set up close and challenge the first bird to gobble.

Using late season tactics early.

What do you consider late season tactics?

Go to tactic in the morning is hear him gobble and then soft calling. Once I know he has my location, I switch to scratching in the leaves

Put one of those tree umbrellas over  my head and hunt in the rain.  Right when it stops can be awesome.

If I have not killed anything on private and nothing is happening, stop somewhere to eat breakfast and head to public.  I get there around 10:30 when most folks have already left.  It is often boring, but when it is good, game on!

Lately been thinking about trying to act like I am deer hunting during turkey season and vice versa during deer season. Should pile 'em up that way.
